Privacy
The site measures its own traffic and keeps what you write in the forms. Nothing else, and nothing put to any other use.
Every page view is recorded with the date, IP address, operating system, browser, device type, page, language and the site you arrived from. This is only used to understand how the site is used. It is not sold, not rented, and never handed to an advertising analytics tool.
To know which regions people visit us from, the IP address is sent once to the ipwho.is service, which answers with an approximate city, a region, a country and the name of the internet provider. That service receives the address and nothing else: not the page you were on, not your browser, nothing more. The answer is kept here so it need not be asked again, and it goes when the visits do.
Visit data is deleted automatically after 90 days. After that nothing remains — the deletion is done by the server, not by hand.
If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" header, the page view is counted but your IP address and session id are not kept — and nothing goes to the location service either, since there is no longer an address to give it. You will find that setting in the privacy preferences of most browsers.
What you write in the forms is kept to assess your application or handle your request, and to get back to you. Nothing more. Write to us and it is deleted.
Files attached to a form — CV, portfolio, images, documents — are kept with your request, in storage located in Canada, and are used only to assess it. They are never published, never shared, and never reachable through a public link: only the team can open them, once signed in. Write to us and they are deleted, like everything else.
If you sign up for the mailing list, we keep your email address, the site language and the date you signed up — nothing more. It is used only to announce a cohort opening, it is neither sold nor shared, and a written request is enough to be taken off the list.
The site uses no advertising cookies, no external analytics tool and no social media buttons. The only cookie set is the one the team uses to sign in to its own dashboard.
You can ask for access to your personal information, its correction or its deletion by writing to info@sourcelab.ca. We answer as quickly as we can.
